Looking for trainability and talent and eye catching looks?
"Tango" is a beautiful Section D cob stallion from imported stock. Both parents are supreme champions and are proven producers of supreme champions.
Tango has all the docility and kindness of the breed, seldom making the fact that he is a stallion even noticeable, yet you can’t look at him without seeing it in his noble carriage and build. He is quick to learn, anxious to please and very mellow, yet forward under saddle. Truly the idea cob personality and amateur sport horse!
Uphill, substantial, with a long, well supported rib cage and good moderate loin, open hip and shoulder angles, great joints, strong, quality bone. His beautiful eyes will steal your heart, and he improves mares of any quality and produces jaw-dropping movement, and trainable, balanced, cadenced foals of substance and type. His foals are consistently better then the sire and the dam!
Tango’s large over-track has been passed on to every foal, even out of some very average mares. His walk is his most amazing gait, but all three gaits are really lovely and pure in rhythm. His canter is cadenced and uphill and his trot comes from the hindquarter and is very ground covering.
Kind and gentle enough to be handled by his trainer’s three year old; we have many stories of his personality, and he has NO bite tendency that is normal to even the best and nicest stallions. He is an ideal cross for someone looking to produce a horse with enough talent for success in the sport disciplines, but with trainability and a temperament of kindness and docility for an amateur to feel safe and bonded.

His first show under saddle, and one of his first outings at all, he placed 4th in a pattern class with his trainer’s 3 year old riding him lead-line against adults! He was calm, stretched down for the bit, gentle on her tiny hands and obviously left her in control, with the handler’s lead-line left very slack. In a pleasure class, he clearly showed his temperament and how easy he is to ride. (his trainer also rode him in the same class with a nice smooth ride, placing 6th and still getting beat by her own 3 year old! )
His foals tend to go to the tallest parent in height, including a cob foal out of a 12.1 hand mare looking at a mature height of 14+ hands.
15 hands, Bone 8”, wears a size 2 shoe.
Stud fee $650/live cover, $750/fresh AI
